Modular homes are houses that are built inside a large factory by a particular building company.  These homes are usually built in “pieces” at the factory site, and then delivered to the home owner’s location or lot.  Once there, the home is sort of pieced together, almost like a puzzle, until it is completely built into one solid home.  For many people, the concept of modular homes leads them to believe that these marvels can only be one story.  This is not the case, however.  There are thousands of two story modular homes available to the buyer from all kinds of different construction companies.  Everything from split level plans to three stories is possible.  Multi story modular homes allow more people to buy them, because it gives larger families the option of purchasing one.  It also allows the builder to be more flexible and have many more choices to give potential home buyers.

An important thing to remember about modular homes is that most are built with what is known as a pitched roof.  This means that the roof does not get delivered to the site already erect, but rather it is brought to the site and then put together.  This can make building a multiple story modular house much easier.  In recent years, whether they are ranch or two story modular homes, these marvels have gained quite a bit of respect in both the real estate marketplace and in the home buyers’ market as well.  Over the years most modular home builders have gained and earned a real reputation for delivering high quality, customizable homes that can be built in half the time, and a price that many people can afford.  This makes modular homes an obvious choice to consider. Whether you have a small family or a large one and need more room, single and multiple story modular homes are an excellent option.
